Eco-Tiny House
Augusta

I made this Eco-Green Tiny, "Augusta," to be lovely and bright!  It is 8.5ft wide on a street legal 20ft powder- coated trailer, 160 sqft with a 68 sqft loft area.  Many people suffer with chronic illness because their houses make them sick!  The entire inside of this small house has been crafted with the express purpose of creating a toxic-free living environment.  The inside is painted exclusively with no-VOC milk paint and silicone.  All the cabinetry is made of cedar, so it smells nice too.  The shower is also cedar, sealed with non-toxic silicone.  The counter is tea-stained and sealed with a food-safe sealer.  All the building adhesive used on the tiny is non-toxic.
This little house on wheels was built with rated screws (not nails) and hurricane ties, for added strength and stability.  It has the extra protection of rolled roofing material and a metal roof.  The interior walls are tongue and grove pine.  The tiny features an insulated metal roof with a leakproof Velux, air-venting skylight.  The windows are energy efficient with screens and all upper windows open awning style.  She boasts a large stainless steel kitchen sink with restaurant-style stainless steel faucet.  The ceiling, walls and floor are insulated with polyiso and fire-resistant Roxul rockwool up to R-15.  The bathroom has a 18in high fiberglass tub-style shower, a dry toilet, a bathroom exhaust fan and medicine cabinet.  Augusta has a thermostat controlled loft fan with an insulated container-box for the winter.  I have included many things which which I hope add to the useability and beauty of Augusta including, GFI outlets throughout, dimmable lights, copper piping accents, a sliding bathroom door, double-poled loft lighting, an outside entry light, washer-dryer hook-ups and Sharkbyte plumbing. Live or work in this tiny and be well!
